Doctor Emily Chapel graduated Michigan State University summa cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Technology. She worked in the university's teaching hospital and taught in the Veterinary Technology Program for three years before pursuing her veterinary degree.
After earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013, Emily completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Ohio State University. She stayed on for a three-year residency program in Cardiology while completing a Masters Degree in Veterinary Science with a research emphasis on canine mitral valve disease.
Clinically, Emily focuses on diagnosing and managing congenital heart diseases and arrhythmias.
Outside of the hospital, Emily enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her husband and their two pets; Atis, a dog whom she diagnosed and treated for pulmonic valve stenosis, a congenital heart defect, and their cat Remy.
