Customized treatment at Coast to Coast Cardiology starts with a clear diagnosis and a plan that fits your pet’s needs today, then adapts as they respond. Your pet may need a congestive heart failure protocol to reduce fluid and make breathing easier, an anti-arrhythmic medicine to steady an abnormal rhythm, or blood pressure control to protect the eyes, kidneys, brain, and heart muscle. Some patients benefit from anticoagulation or antiplatelet therapy to lower the risk of clots. Many do best on a carefully balanced combination of medicines. We choose starting doses based on examination findings, imaging, and lab work, then explain what each medication does and how best to give it at home.

At Coast to Coast Cardiology, our board-certified cardiologists monitor your pet and their medications closely and adjust as needed. Rechecks may include blood tests, chest X-rays, blood pressure readings, ECG, and/or an echocardiogram to see how the treatment plan is working. We also use simple at-home updates like resting breathing rates, appetite, and energy to guide safe dose changes between visits. When needed, we coordinate compounded flavors and/or home delivery through trusted pharmacy partners and always keep your family veterinarian in the loop.
