Dr. Ashley Lange grew up in Michigan, and attended Michigan State University, focusing her undergraduate studies in two separate colleges, majoring in both Advertising and Animal Science. She was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, and completed her Veterinary Degree in 2011 before completing a small animal rotating internship in internal medicine, surgery, and emergency at Advanced Veterinary Care Center (since acquired by VCA) in Southern California. Dr. Lange then worked as an Emergency and Critical Care veterinarian in Scarborough Maine at Maine Veterinary Medical Center. Dr. Lange completed a cardiology residency program at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. During her residency program, she completed research involving echocardiographic monitoring for the risk of thromboembolic disease (i.e. stroke) in cats with heart disease, and how treatment with a platelet-inhibitor impacted diagnostic findings.

Doctor Lange’s special interests in cardiology include endocarditis, arrhythmia management, and management of chronic congestive heart failure patients. She loves the client interaction and helping to educate clients on cardiovascular care to improve their pets lives.
In her spare time, Doctor Lange loves to ski, play volleyball, take photographs, and travel. Her favorite place she has traveled has been South Africa, where as part of her veterinary training she helped take care of injured and ill rhinos, giraffes, impala, and wildebeest
