Meet the Team

Dr. Jordan Vitt, DVM, DACVIM

Doctorate Veterinary Medicine
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology)

An Ohio native, Dr. Jordan Vitt completed both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees at The Ohio State University in Columbus. After graduation, he completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and then worked as an emergency clinician in private practice for one year in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his three year Cardiology Residency at Texas A&M University in College Station and then obtained his Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Cardiology.

During his residency training, Dr. Vitt worked with 3D cardiac modeling and printing. He believes these innovative techniques can aid in minimally invasive and surgical planning techniques and will accelerate future advances in veterinary cardiology. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Vitt continues to contribute to veterinary science through his research. He published a case series in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine on Chagas disease in a family of Boxer puppies, has submitted a manuscript on the pharmacodynamics of pimobendan in cats with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and is currently collaborating with multiple centers for a large retrospective study on the correlation of chest x-rays and echocardiography.

In his spare time, Dr. Vitt enjoys traveling and is developing his yoga practice. Recently, he was invited to teach at the Kasetsart University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand mentoring veterinarians in cardiology – he is truly a Coast To Coast Cardiologist!
