Doctor Kristin Barncord provides exemplary cardiovascular care to her patients, their human companions and their family veterinarian.
Doctor Barncord received her Doctorate Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. In 2011 Doctor Barncord completed her rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Iowa State University. Doctor Barncord then completed a cardiology internship followed by cardiology fellowship at the Animal Specialty and Emergency Center in Los Angeles, California, prior to completing her residency in cardiology at the University of Minnesota. She successfully passed cardiology boards in 2016 and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, specializing in Cardiology.
Doctor Barncord’s special interests in cardiology include diagnosis and management of chronic congestive heart failure and diagnosis and medical or interventional treatment of congenital heart diseases such as pulmonic stenosis and patent ductus arteriosus.
With her time away from the hospital, Kristin enjoys playing beach volleyball and spending time with her pets, Huey and Piper.
