Doctor Melissa Wilson resided in Southern California until she began her undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2017. Wanting to pursue specialty medicine, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. Doctor Wilson moved back to California as a Cardiology Specialty Intern at VCA Animal Emergency and Specialty Center for one year. She is honored to be accepted into the Residency Program at Coast to Coast Cardiology.

Doctor Wilson’s special interests include interventional procedures, congenital anomalies, and feline cardiomyopathy. She shares her passion for veterinary cardiology through client education and enjoys developing relationships with clients, their pets, and referring veterinarians to provide the best possible care for her patients.

When away from the hospital, Doctor Wilson enjoys exploring new restaurants, cooking, hiking, and has recently developed a love for running.
